നന്തനാർ(1926-1974)
1926-ൽ മലപ്പുറം ജില്ലയിലെ അങ്ങാടിപ്പുറത്ത് ജനിച്ചു. യഥാർത്ഥപേര് ഗോപാലൻ. അച്ഛൻ: പരമേശ്വരതരകൻ. അമ്മ: നാണിക്കുട്ടിയമ്മ. വീടിനടുത്തുള്ള തരകൻ ഹയർ എലിമെന്ററി സ്‌കൂളിലായിരുന്നു വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം. 1942 മുതൽ 1964 വരെ പട്ടാളത്തിൽ സിഗ്നൽ വിഭാഗത്തിൽ ജോലി നോക്കി. 1965 മുതൽ മൈസൂറിൽ എൻ.സി.സി. ഇൻസ്ട്രക്ടറായിരുന്നു. 1967 മുതൽ ഫാക്ടിൽ പബ്ലിസിറ്റി വിഭാഗത്തിലും സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിച്ചു. ജോലിയിലിരിക്കെ 1974-ൽ നന്തനാർ അന്തരിച്ചു. ആത്മാവിന്റെ നോവുകൾ എന്ന നോവലിന്  1963-ൽ കേരളസാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി അവാർഡ് ലഭിച്ചു.
