എന്‍. മോഹനന്‍(1933–1999)
1933 ഏപ്രില്‍ 27–ന് രാമപുരത്ത് ജനിച്ചു. അച്ഛന്‍: എന്‍. നാരായണന്‍ നമ്പൂതിരിപ്പാട്. അമ്മ: എന്‍. ലളിതാംബിക അന്തര്‍ജ്ജനം. രാമപുരം സെന്റ് അഗസ്റ്റിന്‍സ് ഇംഗ്ലിഷ് ഹൈസ്‌കൂള്‍, തിരുവനന്തപുരം യൂനിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റി കോളജ് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളില്‍ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം. സസ്യശാസ്ത്ര​ത്തില്‍ ബി.എസ്‌സിയും മലയാളസാഹിത്യത്തില്‍ എം.എ.യും ജയിച്ചു. കാലടി ശ്രീശങ്കരാകോളജില്‍ മലയാളം ലക്ചറര്‍, കേരള ഗവണ്മെന്റിന്റെ സാംസ്‌കാരിക കാര്യ ഡയറക്ടര്‍ എന്നീ തസ്തികകളില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചു. കേരള സ്റ്റേറ്റ് ഫിലിം ഡവലപ്‌മെന്റ് കോര്‍പ്പറേഷന്റെ മാനേജിങ് ഡയറക്ടറായിരിക്കെ 1988–ല്‍ സര്‍വ്വീസില്‍നിന്ന് വിരമിച്ചു. നിന്റെ കഥ (എന്റേയും), ദുഃഖത്തിന്റെ രാത്രികള്‍, പൂജയ്ക്കെടുക്കാത്ത പൂക്കള്‍, എന്‍. മോഹനന്റെ കഥകള്‍, ശേഷപത്രം, നുണയുടെ ക്ഷണികതകള്‍ തേടി, സ്‌നേഹത്തിന്റെ വ്യാകരണം, നിഷധരാജ്യത്തിലെ രാജാവ്, ഒന്നും പറയാതെ എന്നീ ചെറുകഥാസമാഹാരങ്ങളും ഇന്നലത്തെ മഴ എന്ന നോവലും പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. നാലപ്പാടന്‍ അവാര്‍ഡ്, പത്മരാജന്‍ അവാര്‍ഡ്, സ്റ്റേറ്റ് ബാങ്ക് ഒഫ് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ സാഹിത്യ അവാര്‍ഡ്, ടെലിവിഷന്‍ കഥയ്ക്കുള്ള സംസ്ഥാന ഗവണ്മെന്റിന്റെ അവാര്‍ഡ്, അബുദാബി മലയാളിസമാജം അവാര്‍ഡ്, നോവലിനുള്ള കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി അവാര്‍ഡ് എന്നിവ ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. 1999 ഒക്ടോബര്‍ 3–ന് അന്തരിച്ചു.
